Mark Burgess (cricketer)
Mark Gordon Burgess (born 17 July 1944) is a former cricketer who played Test cricket for New Zealand from 1968 to 1980, captaining the team from 1978 to 1980. A right-handed batsman, who bowled right-arm off-breaks, Burgess played in New Zealand's first One Day International (ODI) in 1973.His father Gordon Burgess played for Auckland between 1940–41 and 1954–55 and managed the New Zealand team that toured England, India and Pakistan in 1969.
