Amy Ede

Amy Ede (née Laycock; 1923 – 8 November 2007) was an early female politician in Singapore and a pioneer of the orchid trade on the island. She was the second female member of the Singapore Municipal Commission. Three orchid hybrids are named after her. Provided by Wikipedia
