Jose Manuel Vargas Sarquis is a Venezuelan ophthalmologist working in the field of anterior segment surgery.He is recognized for his work on cataract surgery, corneal diseases and techniques that involve accommodating intraocular lenses (Tek-Clear), phakic IOLs (Implantable Collamer Lens and Kelman Duet), and artificial corneas (KeraKlear and Boston keratoprosthesis).
