L. C. Cameron
L. C. Cameron (Rio de Janeiro, 1962) is a Brazilian biochemist. He is known for his studies in the field of Biochemistry, working mainly on topics such as ammonia and amino acid metabolism in situations of physiological and pathophysiological stress.He is a Professor Emeritus at the Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro, where he was a full professor of Genetics and Molecular Biology and Head of the Department of Genetics and Molecular Biology (UNIRIO, 1989–2024). The scientist was also co-responsible for the creation of the Olympic Laboratory of the Brazilian Olympic Committee where he directed the Department of Biochemistry and Sports (2006–2018).
