Margaret Mary McCartney is a general practitioner, freelance writer and broadcaster based in Glasgow, Scotland. McCartney is a vocal advocate for evidence-based medicine. McCartney was a regular columnist at the ''British Medical Journal''. She regularly writes articles for ''The Guardian'' and currently contributes to the BBC Radio 4 programme, ''Inside Health''.
