Ponisseril Somasundaran

Ponisseril Somasundaran (born 28 June 1939) is an American mineral engineer of Indian origin and a LaVon Duddleson Krumb Professor of Mineral Engineering at Columbia University, New York.

In 2010 the Government of India honoured him with the award of Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian award, for his contributions to the fields of science and technology. Provided by Wikipedia
