description The proposed thesis intended to introduce (create) a design and built environment which will give the public a new perception toward the image and design of a school by creating the school building with a distinct identity. The proposed school is not only a place for academic and sports purposes, but it is a community which students acan respond to with pride, which foster a strong layer layalty, and provides an atmosphere in which individuality canbe a nourished alongside a broader communal responsibility. It is instantly identifiable as a sport orientated institution whereby it can be used as a precedent for the development of sports school in the future, for instance, the State Sports school. Design Intention. 1) To chieve a dynamic and organised circulation system and a clear flow planning so as not to interfere the dildaily educational and sports activities of the school students. 2) To properly respond to the climate context and site. Design concept - Structuralization of the spaces, sao as to create a community, with the communication network called "street". A community (campus) such as this is essentially a micro city with its main stereet, side streets, public and private zones, gathering area and arden. it is with this notion that this complex will be designed, with an open plaza as the focal point of the "city", while different "gateway" offer entrances to its zone area. Design execution - Basically, there are 4 important buildings, teh academic complex, the sports complex, the administrative complex and resource centre, and the students house. The organization provided by a central plaza and the major cross streets through the plaza would have allowed the various zones to be located, while givint a sense of civic unity to the entire project. The four buildings are functionally separate entities eventually to be linked together bya walkways. These walkwyas are more than a passageway with its sequential split level construction defining alcoves, large and small open spaces, etc. Its spacious design makes it amultipurpose communcation area and the spacious organization is planned to make tight relationship between an exterior and interior spaces through the commnication network call the " street". The detail resolution of the buildings will integrated natural vntilation and sunshading.
