Riassunto:The main aim of this project is to design the L-C passive bandpass filters for low power radio repeater requirements. This project is the part one of the entire project concerning the low power radio repeater set-up at Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM). The adjacent channel interference faced by the UUM television receivers and the spurious responses from the repeater transmtwo main problems concerned in this project. The two L-C passive bandpass filters designed are used for the frequency of 175MHz and 543MHz respectively.Chapter 1 This chapter gives a basic understanding about the radiowave propagation and its equations. Chapter 2 Tihs chapter gives a brief overview about radio repeater and the environment at UUM together with the problems faced by their TV receivers. Chapter 3 This chapter stresses on the characteristics of a bandpass filter and provides some examples of the commercially used bandpass filters. It also includes the applications of the bandpass filters in communication field. Chapter 4 This chapter stresses on the VHF/UHF L-C bandpass filter design and the components used. It also provides the circuit lay-out and the response of the 175MHz and 543 MHz L-C passive bandpass filter. Chapter 5 This chapter discusses the experimental results and the application of the 175MHz and 543MHz L-C passive bandpass filter in TV1 repeater set-up. Chapter 6 Conclusion and suggestions
