Résumé:The Analog Line Card is a small switching system that is used to handle a group of analog telephone and provide access to a digital switching network. The objectives of this project are to redesign the existing Subscriber Loop Interface Circuit Module (SLICM) which used a bulky hybridtransformer for two-to-four wire conversion, by replacingit with the IC MC3419. After that, rebuild the whole system into printed circuit board (PCB). Apart from that, themonitor program which is written in assembly language will be transformed into more 'user-friendly' language like Turbo C. Moreover, more Private Branch Exchange (PBX) features will be included in order to upgrade the capabilityof the sytem. Intensive reading on previous student reports and hardware troubleshooting are the major steps that have to be done before any further improvement step is taken. However, due to some problems on the existing hardware, new design of certain modules and monitor program arenot implemented.
