Description
Summary:E;ecatrical power is today playing an increasingly important role in the life of the community and development of various sectors ofe conomy. developing countries like Malaysia are therefore giving a high priority to power development programs. This ini turn has led to the increase in the number of poerpower stations and their load centers. These lines are carried over many miles by transmission towers. In ny thesis here, I would be looking into the possibility of optimising these Transmission Towers. From the structural point of view, it is important that these structures can withstand the load and pressure acting on them. In Malaysia, the towers are designed according to the British Standards. Due to the difference in the meteorological data between these two countries, these towers are considered over designed compared to our local requirement. This provides ample room for optimization. The optimization considered here is in form of size and weight optimization. By optimising, it must be as cost-saving as possible. At the cost of assembling the towers reduces, power will be supplied cheaply to more places.
