The essential strength properties of finger jointed Rubberwood have been defined and an investigation made of these and others of possible direct application, involving a total of 40 tests. Minimum values acceptable under British Standard specifications have been determined and serve as a standard for comparison. The results showed that Rubberwood has gluing abilities for effective finger jointing and produce reasonable strength for glulam manufacture. |
