Inthe first part, this dessertation set oout to develop a clearer picture of the historical growth of the town. Theories of growthare adpoted as a basis for this explanation. it will further explain the pattern and direction of growth. The second part attempts to describe the land use arrangement of teh town which currently exists. Location theories are applied to teh structure of land use development in Muar. The different types of existing land uses are furuther dealt with in detail. The third part focusses on the trend and pattern of values of the different types of land use. Finally, problems relating to the different types of land use will be identified and possible solutions suggested. This dissertation then attempts to forecast on the future land use pattern as well as the future prospect of growth. |
