| Summary: | Increased application requirements, new computer techonogies and new software paradigms have led have led to the development of the parallel processing computer. A parallel processing computer is a method of performing parallel computations at a high speed utilizing multiple processing elements simultaneously. In this project a basic two-dimensional hypercube parallel computer has been developed using Complex Instruction Set Computer (CISC) microprocessor. Basically, this project paper discussed the hardware configuration of the processing element of the hypercub parallel computer, the communication system of the computer and also a simple processing program that has been developed for this computer system. A project evaluation and recommendation forthe future R & D are also included in this paper. |
