| Summary: | Due to the emergence of multimedia hardware and image processing software, these provide another alternative tothe process of manipulation of video display and video display data. But, in Malaysia this technology still needs a lot of explore in order to maximized the capability of the image processingsoftware and the hardware. The Particle Image Velocimetry system technic that currently used in Coastal and Offshore Engineering Institute (COEI) is amethod which can provide a simultaneous measurement of fluid or particlevelocity vectors of single and many points. Their approaches are using theNikon SLR camera, the video frame grabber and the software which provideby the TSI to analysis the flow pattern and to determine it velocity.This project is look intio this matter and it is possible to used the imageprocessing software and the Video Blaster card to perform identical processes as from the image that is capture by using a video camera (real time image). Of course, at the end of this project, the software has to be developedin order to manipulate the processed image.
