Summary: | This report discusses how a computer software package is developed using HyperCard 2.2. The software package includes utilisation of methods and techniques to learn and recite the Quraan for pupils aged 12 and below. The whole project development is supported by Power PC (Apple Macintosh), Hypersound, Scanners, Plain Talk Misrophone and Camcorder. The intention is to prove, how integration of sounds, text, graphics and possibly recorded video films can be used to aid a learning process especially the Quraan. Chapter 1, include the history background of HyperCard. Some of the major distinctions between HyperCard and Database Management Software is also pinted out. Chapter 1 ends up with the release of HyperCard 2.2. In Chapter 2, an insight of HyperCard with information such as what is HyperCard, Hardware Requirements, Cards, Stacks, HyperTalk, etc. are presented. In Chapter 3, a more detailed information of Cards, as Cards, as card names and numbers, fields, buttons, button icons, visual effects, basic link between cards and the equipment used for the whole project are presented. This would probably give a more clear picture of what HyperCard is all about. Chapter 4 discusses about the design process. Here, the design process covers, the total work that took effect from the begining stage. This includes, stack design, card design, details on the core content of the project, that are the Iqra' foundations, HyperTalk and button scripting. Discussions on how to use the software is drawn our in chapter 5, comprising the manuals. This includes the illustration of flow diagrams. Chapter 6 includes discussions on the total project. The discussions further accompanied by some of the obstacles came across such in scripting, sound recording, non technical problems, etc. Chapter 7 as the final chapter, talks about the software performance, suggestions on further developing the package and conclusions.
