| Summary: | Alphanumeric displays are playing an increasing role in electronic equipment. With the vast development of the microprocessor today, it is very common at the present moment to implement microprocessor based systems. In this project, an alphanumeric display using Light Emitting Diode technology is designed, constructed and implemented. The project has two parts : the hardware and the software. These two parts will be linked to each other using parallel interfacing. An IBM PB/XT is used to serve as the diplay controller. This project also introduces the lates of the LED Dot Matrix which has been proven to be the most ideal display device and offers the best resolution. |
