| Summary: | The world is in the midst of a quality revolution. Starting from 1st Jan 1993, companies that need to do business in European Community and European Free Trade Association, which represent the largest market in the world containig 350 million citizens, will probably be required to have their quality system audited and registered under ISO 9000 standard. In reponse to this situation, Thomson Audio Kota Tinggi Sdn Bhd has made a decision to start a project on developing a quality assurance system based on ISO 9002. This thesis is primarily intended to provide a general framework for the company to set up the system. It discusses the concept and importances of well developed and implemented quality assurance system for the company. The general explanation ISO 9000 standard and the process of getting the ISO 9000 certificate in Malaysia are also being presented here. Four areas of quality assurances system of the company were being studied and develop. Finally, recommendations of quality procedures of these areas are presented in the thesis. |
