The author employed the Heuristic Approach as she had the direct experience in this phenomenon. She was in this unique setting to use her own 'lens' to understand her own learning experience and by sharing people's stories that had the same lived experience helped us to understand as fully as possible the experience among the family members of cancer survivors. The study was an experiential and reflective exploration with her participants that had placed their therapeutic-relationship at the heart of this work. The author delivered raw motion, realistic description and candid assessment with the inspiring stories to help other family members of cancer survivors to deal and handle their journey while they marvelled through.
