要約:The ASEAN UNIVERSITY GAMES (AUG) is a bienniel sports event that involves athletes from the universities of the ASEAN member countries. Organised by the members of the ASEAN University Sports Council (AUSC), the first event was held in 1981. While the various member countries of the AUSC took their turns in hosting the event, Malaysia has played host twice, in 1984 (UKM, Bangi) and in 1993 (UiTM, Shah Alam). In 2008, the AUSC has given Malaysia the honour of hosting the 14th AUG for the 3rd time. Kuala Lumpur is very proud to host this prestigious event.
