Summary: | "This coffee table book provides an excellent introduction to flora and fauna found in Gunung Ledang, Johor. All materials illustrated in this book were collected over trips to Gunung Ledang in 2012 and 2013 by many researchers, staff and students of School of Biological Sciences, with involvement of School of Humanities, Housing, Building and Planning, Archaeology Global Research Centre, Universiti Sains Malaysia and representatives from Johor National Parks Corporation. This book consisted of 10 different chapters and topics from 47 different authors of different background of knowledge. This book covers information on Gunung Ledang and some history behind the biodiversity of it, information on rattan, fungi, some freshwater fishes, beautiful orchids which some of the species were unique to Gunung Ledang and Malaysia, species of birds, mammals, amphibians, reptiles and some stunning image of flora that can be found in this area. This coffee table books on biodiversity of Gunung Ledang is expected to be interesting and easy to understand by all level of society as well as to increase knowledge about the natural treasures found in the vicinity of Gunung Ledang.
