| Summary: | Rolex Award for Enterprise were conceived in 1976 to provide help and encouragement in breaking new ground in the fields of Applied Sciences and Invention, Exploration and Discovery, and The Environment. Since 1976, Rolex has awarded 30 individuals who have demonstarted a remarkable spirit of enterprise and commitment in the fields of their endeavoir. An international panel of judges, in granting the Awards, has helped to bring to fruition many projects that might otherwise not have been realized. This book describes the projects of the five Laureates, the 36 Honourable Mentions and a further 226 individuals selected from teh many hundreds of entries submitted for the 1993 Awards.
