Due to the sizes and complexity of the projects, manual planning techniques may be insufficient or too time consuming. Instead the application of computerized project managemnet system is essential in determining which jobs must be given priority in making schedules changes, must be given priority in making schedules changes, resources levelling, and in accomplishing a variety of resources levelling, and in accomplishing a variety of planning, scheduling and control functions.The main objectives of this thesis is to demonstrate the utilization ofa micaro-computer based project management software, Project Manager Workbench (PMW), as a tool for planning and scheduling activities of multiple resources in a particular proejct and also to make comparison of different modes of managing projects. For this purpose, a case study is used to illustrate the application of the software and to make comparison. The case sstudy is mainly involve in developing a schedule for the installation of air conditioning and ventilation system at Palm Resort Hotel and Conventional Center by Pathfinder M & E Sdn Bhd compare to the present method of organizing projects by the company. From the result of the analysis, it is found that thefthat the application of micro-computer software, PMW, in organizing projects is beneficial a lot. Cost analysis can be done and different alternatives can be generated out for comparison. Schedules were developed at the end results which satisfy the delivery dates of the projects by adding extra resources and also over commitment of certain resources.
