description The object of the work is to produce a computer aid for the operation sequence planning of ratational features, which reduces planning time and standardized operation sequence. To date, most Computer Aided Process Planning (CAPP) systems have been developed to operate on mainframes and/or minicomputers. This is too expensive and not economical for small industrial. So, this project will come with a CAPP system operate on micro-computer. The software was developed using TURBO C and it was developed on an IBM PC compatible computer. The system developed based on generative approach process planning. The system will prompt user to select the raw material of workpiece and cutting tool. The geometrical dimension of features key-in base on answering questions posed by the system. The system will determine the cutting condition for each operations and suggest optimum recommendation. Finally, the system will able to generate a process sheet complete with sequencing operation, cutting tool shape and optimum cutting conditions.
