| Summary: | The paper deals with the creation and technical implementation of the
Bibliotheca legum, a manuscript database online since 2012, and
critically reflects on the work done so far. The database lists
manuscripts of all legal texts that were copied during the Early Middle
Ages and thus allows to draw conclusions about the legal knowledge
available during that period. In spite of low financial means, the
database tries to meet the current standards by using low tech solutions like the Open Source CMS »WordPress« and
shows how it is possible to design a DH project almost
cost-neutral and without technical partners. |
