Description
Summary:Today ́s society is prone to privatize the benefits generated from scientific and technologic knowledge and excludes laymen from access to the production processes and appropriation of that knowledge. For these reasons it is necessary to introduce a profound change in the models that define public policies, in order to meet the demands for the democratization of science, technology and innovation. In that sense, this paper presents a critical analysis of the linear and market models that guide the current Public Policies of Science,Technology and Innovation and Public Policies for Social Appropriation of Science, Technology and Innovation in Colombia, and sustains that the participatory models constitute themselves as an alternative to counteract the progressive privatization of techno-scientific knowledge and the benefits of innovation, issues that are an obstacle in the goal of building the society of knowledge.
