description Introduction: Injuries to the lower extremity, especially the femoral neck, are common injuries that can carry a large percentage of functional disability and thus constitute huge unexpected economic burdens. Age 18-50 years There are several methods of treatment: Canulated screws DHS plate , arthro plasty . Research objective: Improving the results of treating intracapsular femoral neck fractures in young people using surgical treatment with cannulated screws by studying the functional results of this method . Materials and methods: The research includes patients with femoral neck fractures who underwent surgical treatment at Tishreen University Hospital during the years 2021-2022 and who met the inclusion criteria in the research. The ages of the research sample patients ranged from 18 to 50 years, with an average of 34.2 years . Results: In this study, analyzed 39 cases of intracapsular femoral neck fractures in adults who were surgically treated with closed reduction and replacement with three cannulated screws. We found that the most common cause of intracapsular femoral neck fractures in adults is traffic accidents, and these fractures are common in patients aged between 31 and . 40 years, and the average age of patients in our current study was 34.2 years. These fractures were more common in males than in females in this age group, as in our current study, males: females, the ratio was 2.5: 1, and the proportion of fractures of the altered type was much higher than without. The variable rate was 71.8%: 28.2%, and the majority were type 3 according to the Garden classification for intracapsular femoral neck fractures The functional results of the studied patients according to modified Harris hip scoring improved clearly with continued follow-up, and a significant increase was observed in the percentage of patients with results ((excellent - good)), reaching 94.87 after one year of follow-up Conclusion: We recommend treating intracapsular femoral neck fractures in the age group 18-50 years based on good response, fixation with three cannulated screws, and performing surgery as early as possible ,Adherence to medical advice during the treatment period, especially preventing complete resting 3 months before surgery.
