description | <p>The aim of the given article is the revealing and analysis of monocities in the Russian Federation under circumstances of the modern political process. Author stresses the political and anthropological component. In this research we used general scientific methodology as well as comparative, historical and sociological approaches.</p><p>As a result of the given politological analysis we revealed the main problems of monocities among which we should note the low social activity and the low security of communities. That is due to depressive socio-economic and political status of researched territories. This is caused by the change of political and economic directions at the end of 20<sup>th</sup> century as well as the crisis of Russian economy. We raise the issue of elite responsibility for the violation of citizens’ rights and secrecy of recruiting channels. As a result the monocitiy citizens cannot fully self-fulfill.</p><p>The findings can be applied in the system of public and municipal administration in working out the programs on territorial development, in the activity of parties and non-government organizations and in scientific and training activities.</p><p><strong>DOI: <a href="http://dx.doi.org/10.12731/2218-7405-2013-2-11">http://dx.doi.org/10.12731/2218-7405-2013-2-11</a></strong></p> |
