Description
Summary:The tourism and leisure offer several benefits, both for the places visited as for people who visit. However, not all people can benefit from these activities, among these are the disabled and people with reduced mobility. This is because these sites do not have the minimum necessary adaptations access. Thus, this research aims to identify constraints and accessibility of facilities to the main beaches that comprise the city of Florianópolis, capital of the state of Santa Catarina. For this, a literature review about the topic accessibility was carried out, and also a survey of some examples of accessibility in other cities in Brazil and the world. Also performed was a field analysis using photographs and notes for the purpose of illustration and diagnose the situation. As a result, this research showed that the infrastructure of Florianópolis beaches have few alternatives to accessibility and in some cases it is non-existent.
