Influence of some salts of heavy metals on sulfur bacteria Lamprocystis sp.
The growth of phototrophic sulfur bacteria Lamprocystis sp. under the influence of 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0 and 2.5 mM of CdSO4, ZnSO4, Pb(NO3)2 and CuSO4 was investigated. The control medium did not contain metal salt. The highest inhibition of growth was caused by CuSO4, and Pb(NO3)2 had weaker effect....
