Summary:We give an account of the Popular Carnival for Life of the Britalia neighborhood that has been goingon for more than thirty years, with emancipating political objectives described as cultural resistance, which is the result of collective action, and fundamentally popular education. There is a historical tour with testimonies of some of the protagonists of the origin and development of the Popular Carnival for the Life of Britalia, in the town of Kennedy, in Bogota, passing through three moments, the origin of the neighborhood, the constitution andconsolidation of the territory, the neighborhood struggles, the fight against Gibraltar and the Carnival as an expression of Cultural Resistance
