Summary:This research aimed to investigate whether the conduct of those individuals acting in virtual environments, assistive way or manner that may cause the claim of another individual to commit suicide conforms to conduct typified in the art. 122 of the Brazilian Penal Code. Thus, from a literature review and analysis in the Brazilian legislation, were studied, first, the social and legal concepts of suicide, as well as its provision in the current legislation. Secondly was told the origin of the Internet and social networks and what were its consequences in our legal system. Finally, we brought some recent cases of suicide that only materialized due to the use of the internet. After analyzing these cases, we tried to say that the conduct of the agent, even held in virtual environment, conforms with ease to conduct typified in criminal law.
