description Identifying the capacities, potentials and limitations of the main economic activities and infrastructure of the municipality, allowed to obtain the general characterization of San Calixto, from a territorial perspective to arrive at the dynamics that integrate the labor market with its main productive activities, by identifying the strategies that lead to the employability path. The applied methodology was framed under the Methodological Manual for the Survey of the Municipal Productive Profile established by the UNDP, relying on descriptive research with a documentary design, identifying alternatives that would contribute to the rural economic development of the population. The determination of the sample was through Neyman's stratified sampling by affixation, made up of 379 surveys applied to inhabitants of the municipality who were victims and not victims of the armed conflict, through working days where the population, employers and representatives of economic sectors participated. The main result was the definition of the potentialities and the route of employability for the production of coffee and cocoa. Concluding as an improvement strategy the application of best agricultural practices in the sowing and collection of the seed, through training of producers in improved varieties that allows a sustainable and sustainable management of the product.
