description Spatial boundaries are subjects of researches, and not simple characteristics of territorial politics. The creation of municipalities in Mali, in a context of decentralization, reveals an original process that created new local boundaries, that questions the interrelations between territory and border. In Kayes area, lived space is structured by mobility and social networks at different scales, so the action of shared space is related to the social sphere. That questions the interrelations between territory, boundary and social network. One of the more important is the impossibility to create concrete spatial boundaries between territories of news municipalities. The boundary becomes a blurred line, with an other function: division becomes interaction. So, is it the end of boundaries, or this effacement is it a synonym of more territoriality ?
