description Purpose. The present paper aims to present how the use of traction and physical exercise together with other means of rehabilitation in cervical spine dysfunctions, contributes to pain reduction. Material and method. We had in study a group of 6 people, which was evaluated to obtain information on the cervical pain through complex and specific methods, such as the analysis based on the Visual Analog Scale and the answer to 3 well-defined questions, the traction test, the Spurling test, the scalene test. and the shoulder abduction test. Then followed the implementation of a recovery protocol specific to the Clinical Hospital for Rehabilitation in Băile Felix, along with traction, mobilization and cervical manipulation. Results. We aimed to achieve pain reduction so that the shortcomings and dysfunctions that it gives, can be eliminated as quickly as possible, in order to create the patient the comfort necessary to carry out his professional and ADL related activities. Conclusions. At the end of the application of the rehabilitation program, the results were analyzed and we found that the specific means of rehabilitation together with axial traction are reducing the cervical pain, the hypothesis being confirmed.
