description Chronic exertional compartment syndrome is a common cause of exercise related pain that affects the legs most commonly, that can be debilitating to many athletes. The condition is often recalcitrant to being treated by conservative measures, with surgical fasciotomies of the affected compartment being most successful in alleviation of symptoms. Current trends towards minimally invasive techniques utilizing an endoscope and small incisions are rising in favor for quicker return to activity as well as prevention of recurrence with direct visualization through the scope. This paper describes the technique as well as demonstrated success in the literature.
