Description
Summary:Paul Tillich's theology and philosophy have largely influenced the religious and philosophical debates of the latter part of the twentieth century. Through his writings, the German theologian and philosopher continues to remain one of the most controversial personalities in the theology and philosophy of late modernity, appreciated but also contested. One of the critics of Paul Tillich's writings is George F. McLean, who concludes that his theology and philosophy are marked by relativism, subjectivism and pantheism. This latter claim, we try – in the current article – to critically assess and its validity affirm or question.
