Description
Summary:This essay is based on Michel Schneider`s and Sandra M. Gilbert`s studies on death. We consider death as a constant presence in Brazilian culture. If this is considered as an historical process, it is possible to evaluate some textual elements as a basis to an aesthetics, related to many writers and artists. Within these elements, we evaluate the structure of time, the point of view and the epistemological basis of the texts. Limite branco, Inventário do ir-remediável and O ovo apunhalado, first books written by Caio Fernando Abreu, are strongly related to this aesthetics.
