description This paper focuses on the finite-time control issue for a class of uncertain nonlinearly parameterized systems under arbitrary switching. By using the adding a power integrator technique (APIT), a new adaptive controller with a tuning parameter is designed. Different from the previous results, we develop a new common Lyapunov function (CLF) with a tuning parameter to achieve the global finite-time stability (GFTS) for the closed-loop switched systems. It is proved that all the states of the considered switched systems converge to an equilibrium state in finite time. Some simulations are given to illustrate the feasibility and advantages of the suggested approach.
