Study on seismic intensity attenuation law in Hainan island and its adjacent areas

The formula of seismic intensity attenuation for Hainan island and its adjacent areas is obtained by least squares regression analysis using 42 isoseismal line from 17 earthquakes in this region. The result shows that this relation represents the features of damage distribution of historical and mod...

description The formula of seismic intensity attenuation for Hainan island and its adjacent areas is obtained by least squares regression analysis using 42 isoseismal line from 17 earthquakes in this region. The result shows that this relation represents the features of damage distribution of historical and modern earthquakes in the areas, and can be applied to seismic safety evaluation, earthquake damage prediction and fast loss assessment.
