| Summary: | The grammar sketch includes information on the phonology and morphosyntax of the Eastern Dan. In the phonological section, consonantal and vocalic systems are analyzed, together with the tones and the featural feet. An inventory of Eastern Dan parts of speech is drawn, and each class of lexemes is analyzed for its morphosyntactic particularities: nouns, locative nouns (and their declination), personal pronouns, predicative markers, adjectives, verbs, adverbs, numerals, determinants, postpositions. In the syntactic section, types of nominal constructions and non-verbal sentences are considered (the syntax of the complex sentence is left out of the scope of this grammatical sketch).
