Summary:The growth of industrial activities contributed to the emergence of debates, theories and studies on the environmental risks and their relationship with industry. In this context, the construction industry, as a generator of large environmental impacts, has been the focus of studies on important events and global conventions. Therefore, the development of seals and environmental certifications as a means of mitigating the impacts of the construction production chain has been growing. The methodology used for the development of this work was documentary research. As a result, the study examined the main certifications and seals used in Brazil and their accession in the country.
