description Induction motors are generally used in industry as a drive. Bearing is one part of the motor element that plays an important role because it has the function to support a shaft so that it can rotate without experiencing excessive friction. Bearing damage is one of the biggest types of damage that we often encounter in induction motors. Motor bearing damage varies from around 40% to 90%. This study aims to detect and minimize the damage that occurs to ball bearings through sound signals on induction motors using the Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) algorithm. The results of this study were able to detect early damage to the ball bearing in an induction motor with a success rate of 52.5% for case1 testing and 53.5% for case2 testing.
