Description
Summary:The purpose of the present study is to explore the citation patterns of the non-personal names being entries in the Dehkhoda Persian Dictionary. Citation analysis was used to determine the status of citations in terms of types of references, citation languages, the frequency of the sources used, and the subject trends of the cited documents. The findings indicate that 438 documents were cited 5862 times in 4052 entries. The subject trend of the cited documents have been mostly to the class of religion. This fact shows the auther interest to the religious sources, probably because of the accessibility and validity of these types of sources.
