Summary:As two neighboring countries, China and India not only have “emerging” economies, but also have a very important position and role in international political life. In addition to the trend of cooperation, China-India relations also take place in fierce competition in many fields, including energy security. From the early years of the twenty-first century, the need to exploit energy sources to serve the economic development of these two powers has become even more acute. This article focuses on some outstanding cooperation achievements as well as the fierce competition in the field of energy security between China and India in the first decade of the twenty-first century. At the same time, we also give some remarks on the relationship of China – India competition and cooperation on energy security in the aforementioned period.
