Summary: | The contemporary museum/cultural context shows very clearly a large increase in new cultural infrastructures that should be included when studying the topic. Starting with three different types of cultural facilities - Museum, Theme Park and Playhouse/Concert Hall - we are able to highlight the recent changes in form and content, resulting not only from social, political, economic and cultural changes, but also from the spread of influences between the different areas. In this article, we show the existence of a new discourse and hybridism in Portuguese museums and cultural institutions, resulting from cracks - opened by wearing boundaries between different types of cultural facilities - that are, in fact, new ways of communicating.
