The diagnosis is made by thorough clinical examination, radiographic examination and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Early diagnosis and treatment can change the prognosis of the disease. If not diagnosed early, OCD can lead to the development of osteoarthritis at an early age. Conservative management is the mainstay of treatment for stable lesions. While the majority of patients respond to conservative treatment, those with unstable lesions require arthroscopic management. |
