This article intends to conduct a reflection on the modes of subjectivity in contemporary cinematographic and artistic experience through the works “Consolation Service” and “Today” from Eija-Liisa Athila. Her human dramas transverse questions about the limits of self and others in situations where reality and fiction cannot be separated.
