Description
Summary:Changes in higher education have led to a remarkable level of professionalism of studies and constant adaptation to social demands. One of the requirements of university education in audiovisual communication is for students to develop professional competences, to help them to find employment in a highly competitive, constantly changing market. The aim of this research was to create a rubric to assess professional audiovisual communication competences in the Spanish degree Audiovisual Communication. Employers and academic experts in the field were selected to develop the rubric. The final version assesses the level of acquisition of professional audiovisual communication competences and creates a clear picture of the organization and suitability of the teaching and learning processes and educational methodologies. Consequently, the rubric could become a key educational instrument for future students and improve the assessment of learning outcome.
