Description
Summary:Literature narrates the experiences of human life. The ideas prevailing in the society of the people are regulated by the literary evidence and the people of the society through the literary works lead the society to improve. Thus the writer benefits society through his/her books. Scholars have lived over time through their books and ideas created. Their thoughts are cherished and preserved from generation to generation. One of the greatest scholars known for such thoughts was Professor Na. Subbu Rediar. He is a versatile scholar, religious thinker, and creator and is deeply attached to the Vaishnava sect. His book “Time and Poets” (Kalamum Kavingarkalum) is a collection of articles published in various magazines. In this collection, he did studies on “Vilibharatham” that has been compared with Bharathi's “Panchali’s Vow” (Panchali Sabatham) with those of the norms of standard Poetry, embellishing the imagination with the scenes he sees naturally, and reveals the characteristics of Bharathi's “Panchali’s Vow”. He points to the glories of the Tamil language and explains “Thirupavai” and “Thiruvembavai” as great proofs of the fact that Paavai Nonpu is Thai neeradal and Margazhi Nieradal is called Amba aadal. He has researched scientific ideas and epic characteristics of Tamils' place in business. Hence, the article seeks to explore how poets evolve through the mind, time, environment, and creative thinking, and explores Professor Subbu Reddiar's multifaceted thinking through his book “Time and Poets”.
