Summary:The article presents the analysis results of Federal State Educational Standards of higher professional education for highly qualified personnel level of training. It considers the distinctive features of postgraduate educational standards in comparison with federal state requirements to the structure of the basic professional educational program of postgraduateeducation and standards of other levels of higher education. The authors suggest a generalized algorithm for postgraduate curriculum development within competency format and give recommendations on how to form the list of professional competencies. The paper also introduces some examples of formulating professional competencies for various training profiles and provides a fragment of the curriculum on the direction 27.06.01 Management in technical systems.
